Janaina de Souza Maia, 47, got trapped in a Renault Kwid in a flooded area of São Paulo, Brazil, on Tuesday (18). The ride-hailing driver was rescued by the Fire Department but could not survive and passed away.
According to Civil Defense information, the rain started on Tuesday afternoon and put the regions on alert for flooding.
The cause of Janaina’s death has not been disclosed. The car was completely destroyed by the floodwaters.
