An Alaska Airlines flight attendant was caught repeatedly punching a passenger during a flight to Portland, Oregon. The man allegedly assaulted another female passenger.

A viral video shows an Alaska Airlines flight attendant repeatedly punching a man sitting in a seat who had assaulted a female passenger on a flight from Oregon to California on January 1st.

“Let go of her hair!” someone can be heard shouting in the video. The flight attendant is seen trying to separate the attacker from his victim by delivering several punches to his neck.

The man begins shouting as the crew member holds his neck. The flight attendant asks another passenger for help in restraining him.

The profile that posted the video on X, formerly Twitter, reported that the out-of-control passenger was “saying strange things and rocking back and forth” before the incident.

The plane returned to Oakland Airport, where the attacker was arrested and taken by the police. The flight was canceled.

“He appeared to be experiencing a violent medical episode that involved continued physical aggression toward other passengers and our crew,” explained Alaska Airlines in a statement.

The airline praised its staff’s response. “Our crew quickly responded to this chaotic situation and kept all passengers safe until authorities intervened.”

Alaska announced that the passenger was banned from flying with the airline.
