In a Reddit post, a baggage handler named Adam answered users’ questions and explained why airport workers sometimes throw luggage.
Reddit users asked questions to a baggage handler identified as Adam in a post on the platform. Adam revealed why airport employees occasionally need to throw luggage.
One of the users asked what type of suitcase is best for traveling. Adam replied that the best type of luggage is one with at least two wheels.
“Some of the worst suitcases to buy are the ones without wheels. At my airline, none of our cargo holds have an automated system, so we need to stack the luggage manually in each compartment, which can be quite long,” he revealed.
He explained that wheels help the handler roll the suitcase through the compartment without needing to throw it, making Adam’s job easier.
“My least favorite suitcases are those with four wheels, especially when one of the wheels is stuck. We try to roll them, but they tip over after moving just a few inches,” he admitted.
