Kristen Parker shared on her TikTok a video of her doing the final fitting of her wedding dress moments before suffering a car accident and losing her memory on her wedding day.
A woman suffered a traumatic car accident before her wedding, which left her with only fragmented memories of the big day. She was driving home after the fitting when a car hit her on the road.
“I remember thinking the car went straight by and that everything was fine. But I looked to the side and the entire right side of my car was destroyed and dented,” the bride continued in an interview with Newsweek.
She says she was taken to the hospital, where her neck and abdomen were examined. Although she responded that she did not remember hitting her head, the doctors did not examine her brain.
The bride went ahead with her wedding as planned, including a bachelorette party and honeymoon with her partner Troy. However, Kristen began to realize something was wrong as signs of memory loss persisted.
“I was a victim of negligence and disbelief from the medical team for almost a year and a half,” she said, explaining that on the morning of her wedding she did not remember that she was supposed to prepare the decorations.
The bride was diagnosed with concussion, stroke, and brain atrophy. She also lost the ability to sing due to throat blockages caused by the accident.
“I don’t remember my wedding, and that’s why I post videos, to try to remember that day,” Kristen confessed.
