Police believe the second body found is that of Chen, but identification will be difficult as the body was submerged in water and covered with reeds 10 meters away from Li’s body.
Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty stated he believes it was a targeted double homicide.
“They owed money. There was no other criminal activity we were aware of, and certainly Sally unfortunately became a victim because of that,” Doherty said, suspecting that at least two more individuals were involved in the murders.
The police continue to investigate the case.
