Dwayne Johnson apologized to his fans for not being able to attend the United Football League due to a problem with his private jet. The actor described the frightening moment on his Instagram profile.
“Last night, we had some issues with the plane. About 35 to 40 minutes after takeoff, the pilot came up to me, kneeled down, and looked me in the eyes, face to face. I was the only passenger, just me and the crew,” The Rock recounted.
He explained that the pilot informed him there was an issue with the plane and that they needed to return to Hawaii.
“‘I give you my word that I will get you back safely to the island.’ And I really appreciated the way he handled the situation,” said a surprised Dwayne Johnson.
The “Jumanji” star praised the actions of Captain David, the pilot.
“I really appreciate how calm he was at that moment. He explained what was happening and said it was a hydraulic issue. A failure in the hydraulic systems that caused overheating,” the actor detailed.
