The incident happened after four boats carrying tourists were hit by strong winds, causing the vessels to capsize in the water. Only four passengers emerged unscathed.


President Xi Jinping requested “full efforts” in the search and rescue operations for the injured passengers, the state agency Xinhua reported.
He also called for enhanced safety measures at crowded locations.
CCTV reported that the boats were not overloaded.
