Flight attendants highlight five items that passengers should avoid during air travel. They argue that many of them can make the journey quite unpleasant.
An anonymous flight attendant told the food portal Delish that snacks with strong smells, such as roasted corn, can fill the cabin with an overpowering odor.
He also warned against onion-flavored snacks, barbecue, and cheese.
Other flight attendants advised against ordering hot beverages.

Alex Quigley, a former flight attendant, commented that airlines use “potable” water tanks that may go uncleaned for a while, compromising the safety of tea and coffee.
Quigley also emphasized the importance of avoiding foods that cause foul-smelling gas, such as beans, sodas, and dairy products.
“The air on a plane is recirculated; it’s never fresh. That means if someone passes gas, you’ll be breathing it repeatedly,” he explained.
Flight attendants also recommended avoiding meat served by airlines, as its storage conditions may not always be adequate.
