Law student Nat Cedillo went viral on TikTok after sharing her weekly routine of commuting from Mexico City to New York to finish her final semester at law school.
Nat Cedillo has spent over $2,000 on airfare since January 2025, traveling round-trip from Mexico City to New York to complete her last semester at law school. Her super-commute journey has garnered massive attention online.

Cedillo lived in Brooklyn with her husband Santiago before the couple moved to Mexico, attracted by the lower cost of living and tropical weather.
Since then, the law student has traveled more than 6,400 km (about 4,000 miles) each week, flying from Mexico City early Monday mornings to JFK Airport in New York and returning Tuesday nights.
“I love New York, but before we moved, my husband and I didn’t live in the most luxurious neighborhood, and everything was so expensive,” Cedillo told the New York Post.
“In Mexico City, we’ve managed to have a better quality of life. The days I’m not traveling are the best,” added the law student, who plans to take the New York Bar Exam in the summer of 2025.
