The 20-year-old motorcyclist Idris Shehu shared a moment of solidarity with an elderly man who was struggling to get back home. Internet users were moved after learning that Shehu passed away months after the post.
Known online as cold_r6, motorcyclist Idris Shehu touched Reddit users after helping an elderly man who was having difficulty walking with a walker. The episode took place in April 2024.
Shehu was riding a red Yamaha motorcycle while filming his ride with a GoPro. He saw, across the street, a man with a wheeled walker trying to adjust his shoe.
Noticing he was struggling, the motorcyclist went over to where he was. Shehu got off the motorcycle and tried to fasten the shoe strap, but the velcro was no longer working.

After saying he lived nearby and just wanted to get home, Shehu offered the man a ride. A few months later, the motorcyclist died in an accident.
Reddit users resurfaced the video to remember Shehu’s kindness.
“Rest in peace, dear. You are a great loss to this world, but at least now you can ride forever without feeling any more pain!!! Ride fast, light and free,” wrote one of them.
