An ATV rider injured a Kansas City police officer during an intense chase on Saturday (19).
An ATV rider fled from Kansas City police after hitting an officer while reversing with the ATV. A video shows the moment the driver strikes the officer as he backs up the vehicle.
The Kansas City Police Department tried to use equipment to deflate the tires and stop the suspect, who was performing risky maneuvers on the street.

The ATV owner became agitated with the authorities’ approach and attempted to flee the scene.
According to KCPD Chief Stacey Graves, the driver popped a wheelie and hit the officer from above, “fell on top of him and then ran over him with the vehicle while fleeing the scene.”
The officer was injured but survived the accident.
Graves stated that the department will continue using tactical response teams for illegal ATV maneuvers.
