The city of New York was overwhelmed by floods on Monday night (14th) after heavy rainfall. A terrifying video captured the moment a subway station was invaded by floodwaters.
The U.S. National Weather Service reported that all five boroughs of New York City were affected, along with Nassau County.

Washington D.C., Baltimore, Newark (New Jersey), Arlington (Virginia), Reagan National Airport, and parts of Pennsylvania were also under flood alerts.
New Jersey Governor Philip D. Murphy declared a state of emergency and urged residents to stay home. “Please stay home and avoid unnecessary travel,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
In New York, subway lines 1, 2, and 3 were suspended in Manhattan so that the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) could respond to the situation.

Shocking videos show subway passengers climbing stairs as water poured heavily through station tunnels, forming small waterfalls.
Images also captured a water geyser erupting on one of the platforms affected by the rain.
Highways had to be closed due to flooding, and flights were delayed by more than three hours at the region’s airports.
