Skyler Stutzman works as a UPS delivery driver based in Oregon, and soon his video gained prominence on TikTok with around 12 million views after he shared the amount he receives in his weekly paycheck.
He indicates that for 42 hours of work, his pay amounts to $44.26 per hour, and thus, Stutzman earned $2,004 before taxes, and finally, the net amount is $1,300 after calculating the fees.
Soon, many viewers began commenting on the video, questioning their own salaries and degrees. Some even joked about applying to become drivers themselves. Nevertheless, in the video, the professional warns that his job requires patience.
Stutzman also explained that it took almost six years before he was offered a full-time position and went through four years of salary increases to reach the current amount. He further states that he shared his salary to be transparent, similar to truck drivers advocating for their labor rights earlier this year.
