A devastating 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck Gansu Province in northwest China, tragically resulting in over 100 deaths and 96 injuries.

This news was released by the Xinhua News Agency on Monday evening (18).
The earthquake caused significant damage in the epicenter area, affecting homes and road infrastructures.
Additionally, interruptions in water and electricity supply services were reported. The agency’s report highlights the severity of the earthquake’s impact on the area.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) had earlier reported an earthquake of magnitude 6.0 in China at 15:59 GMT. The epicenter was located approximately 101 kilometers southwest of the city of Lanzhou, at a depth of 11 kilometers.
In response to the disaster, the Chinese Ministry of Emergency Management dispatched specialized teams to the affected areas to provide assistance.
