An reckless driver involved three vehicles in an accident after missing an exit on an Ohio highway. The video of the incident went viral on social media.
Late in the afternoon on April 30, a minivan was seen trying to make an exit on Interstate 71 in Ohio. The reckless maneuver caused an accident involving three vehicles.
Footage from the Ohio Department of Transportation shows the driver heading to the center of the three-lane road while other vehicles are speeding by.
Other cars had to stop suddenly behind the minivan but were hit by a third vehicle that couldn’t stop in time.

After the chaos caused by the accident, the driver took advantage of the confusion to enter the exit and flee the scene. The driver responsible for the accident has not been identified by authorities.
The Ohio Department of Transportation, in its post, warned the public about the risks of stopping in the middle of a highway.
The department’s spokesperson, Matt Bruning, told Fox 8 that the driver did “the worst thing you can do on a highway” by missing the exit. “What the driver did is extremely dangerous,” he said.
About 94% of traffic accidents are caused by human error, according to studies by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
