At the beginning of the video, laughter can be heard from people nearby as several mice emerge from under the blanket and run towards the subway tracks.

The person recording the video approaches the sleeping homeless individual and says “Yo.” With the repetition of the word, a bit louder, movements can be seen under the blanket, waking up the homeless person.

As they push the blanket away, more than a dozen mice are seen fleeing, highlighting the serious hygiene and safety situation at the city’s subway stations. Surprisingly, the homeless person appears completely indifferent to the presence of the rodents, showing no reaction.

The video, tagged with the phrase “Only in New York City Transit” and a mouse emoji, has raised concerning questions about the rat and homeless crisis in New York City.

Viewers and internet users are questioning the measures taken to address these growing problems, affecting both the homeless population and daily users of public transportation.
