Reports indicate that the unprecedented rains have caused 10 deaths and paralyzed the region, leaving individuals, families, and a train full of people stranded for days.
Although rain is not likely on Wednesday in the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a “yellow” alert for the Thirunelveli district.
