A video shows the moment a train hits the side of a school bus from the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (Apae) of Jandaia do Sul, northern Paraná – Brazil. Two girls died on the spot.

Video shows moment when train hits Apae school bus
The images show the bus advancing on the railroad track. On the right side, there is a black sign alerting drivers crossing the stretch: “Stop, look and listen.”
According to the Paraná Health Department, 25 children were on the bus and the most seriously injured were taken to hospitals in Sarandi, Maringá, Londrina, Apucarana, and Arapongas. They were students of the institution.
The driver was heard by the Civil Police and released after giving his statement. According to the delegate Carlos Diego Paravidino, the driver reported that he “did not see or hear the approaching train”. He was heard accompanied by a lawyer and released by the police.
