A flight from Sky Airlines to Puerto Natales in Chile experienced moments of intense tension due to strong turbulence encountered during the journey.

The incident, which occurred this Thursday (8), was captured on video by some of the passengers on board, showing how the aircraft was affected by these unexpected conditions, creating worry and fear among the travelers.
The flight, which departed from Santiago, Chile, faced unusual turbulence shortly after beginning its route to Puerto Natales. Despite the efforts of the crew to reassure passengers and maintain calm, the captured images reveal moments of anxiety and nervousness.
According to a study by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), more than a third of all accidents involving airlines in the USA that result in serious injuries are caused by turbulence, making it the most prevalent type of accident in air transport.
This study highlights that in recent years, nearly 80% of injuries related to turbulence affect flight attendants, as they often need to move around the cabin without the safety benefit of a seat belt.
