Javon Brown died in Atlanta, USA, last Friday (17) after confronting thieves who were trying to steal his truck while he was on his way to work.
On the morning of January 17, 48-year-old Javon Brown died while confronting thieves attempting to steal his truck just before heading to work. His wife, Tasha, shared that he suffered a heart attack and died in her arms.
According to reports from Fox 5 Atlanta, the couple heard noises and then heard the truck alarm go off. Javon grabbed his gun to try to scare off the criminals.
“I have three small children at home. I was trying to get them to safety,” said Tasha, who heard gunshots while her husband shouted to scare off the suspects.
Police who arrived at the scene after Javon’s death reported that he had not been shot but died from a heart attack.
“He was able to talk. He wasn’t shot. But he went into cardiac arrest from the shock. He fell. I did CPR. I called 911 until I couldn’t feel my arms and hands, but it wasn’t enough,” said Sasha.
The Atlanta Police Department stated that the officers are collaborating with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office to investigate the case. The suspects are still at large.
